Our client is a well-established, high-end bespoke furniture and joinery manufacturer working within the super-prime residential and interiors market. Due to sustained workload, they are looking to appoint an experienced Project / Production Manager to oversee projects from order through to delivery.

The Role

The role will be primarily based from the business’s head office near Chippenham. There is flexibility for the right candidate to be partially London-based, operating from a showroom environment, provided they are able to travel to head office twice per week to oversee production and gather updates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaising directly with clients to discuss project timelines, completion dates, drawing revisions and specifications

  • Managing projects through the workshop, ensuring production aligns with agreed estimates and schedules

  • Interpreting technical drawings to support decision-making throughout production

  • Coordinating suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of outsourced work

  • Carrying out quality control checks prior to items leaving the workshop

  • Producing schedules and reporting progress and forward workload forecasts to directors

About You

  • Proven experience in a Project Manager / Production Manager role within bespoke joinery, furniture or high-end interiors

  • Strong understanding of workshop processes and production flow

  • Confident reading and interpreting technical drawings

  • Personable and professional, with experience dealing directly with high-end clients

  • Hands-on cabinet making experience is advantageous but not essential

  • Comfortable working within the super-prime residential/interiors sector

Ideally, you will have progressed from the bench into management, giving you a strong understanding of how bespoke pieces are made and enabling realistic discussions around timelines and production constraints.
