Boatbuilder – Outfitting & Fibreglass

Contract: Temp-to-Perm (initial 3-month contract)

The Role

We are recruiting an experienced Boatbuilder to support the construction and outfitting of fibreglass vessels up to 40ft in size. This is a hands-on role within a busy marine build environment, suited to someone with solid experience in GRP boatbuilding and outfitting who is open to a temp-to-perm opportunity.

You’ll be working as part of a skilled production team, contributing to high-quality builds from hull through to fit-out.

Key Responsibilities

• Outfitting of fibreglass boats up to 40ft
• Installation of internal and external components
• Working with GRP / composite structures
• General boatbuilding and finishing tasks
• Reading and working from drawings and specifications
• Ensuring work is completed to quality and safety standards
• Supporting build and production schedules

Experience & Skills Required

• Proven experience as a Boatbuilder, ideally within GRP / fibreglass
• Experience working on small to mid-sized vessels
• Strong hands-on outfitting experience
• Confident using hand and power tools
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Marine or boatyard background preferred

Working Hours

• 40-hour week
• Monday to Friday
• 08:00 – 16:30 (30-minute lunch break)
• Overtime available at 1.5x hourly rate
