Job Description
Cabinet Maker – Join a Skilled Workshop Team in North Cornwall (Permanent Position)
£15.00–£17.00 per hour | Full-time | North Cornwall
We’re working with a growing, well-established workshop in North Cornwall who are looking for a Cabinet Maker to join their team on a permanent basis. The workshop has a modern, forward-thinking approach and a friendly, easy-going culture where quality and collaboration are at the heart of everything they do.
They specialise in full-house, bespoke joinery projects—producing beautifully crafted interiors and furniture for high-end residential properties. If you take pride in your craft, enjoy working independently from technical drawings, and value a respectful, no-drama workplace, this could be the ideal next step.
What You’ll Be Doing:
-
Taking full ownership of your own projects, working from detailed 3D design drawings (Inventor)
-
Selecting your own timber and managing builds from start to finish
-
Crafting high-quality cabinetry and furniture with precision and care
-
Collaborating with the design team to ensure room-to-room integration
-
Operating a variety of woodworking machinery and hand tools
-
Maintaining a tidy, organised, and safe working environment
-
Upholding high standards of finish, accuracy, and workmanship
What They’re Looking For:
-
A motivated and experienced cabinet maker who can work independently
-
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to top-quality results
-
Proven ability to interpret design drawings and turn them into reality
-
Confidence working with a range of wood types and finishes
-
A good communicator with a strong work ethic and a team-first mindset
Preferred Background:
-
Solid experience in cabinet making, joinery, or fine woodworking
-
Familiarity with custom and high-end residential furniture projects
-
Comfortable working from CAD/3D models (Inventor experience a bonus, not essential)
-
Based within reach of North Cornwall, or open to relocating to this relaxed coastal area
What’s on Offer:
-
Competitive pay up to £17.00 per hour (depending on experience)
-
Long-term, stable opportunity with real potential for growth
-
Supportive and collaborative workshop culture
-
Access to high-spec tools, machinery, and materials
-
The chance to work on genuinely interesting, design-led projects
