Wood Machinist
Location: Nottingham
Pay: £13–£16 per hour
Type: Full‑time, permanent, 4‑day flexible working week

Our client is a well‑established bespoke joinery specialist based in Nottinghamshire, manufacturing high-end furniture, cabinetry, and architectural joinery for discerning private and commercial clients. They operate from a modern, purpose-built facility equipped with CNC machinery and a dedicated spray‑shop for specialist finishes

Role & Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC and manual woodworking machines (panel saw, spindle moulder, edgebanders, routers, etc.).

Read and work accurately from technical drawings and cutting schedules.

Shape, cut, and finish wood components to tight tolerances.

Carry out routine maintenance and cleanliness of machines and workplace.

Collaborate with CAD/CNC designers to optimise machining processes.

Uphold quality standards and ensure components meet visual and functional specifications.
About You

Experienced wood machinist or joinery operator, with familiarity setting up and running CNC equipment.

Ability to interpret CAD drawings or cutting lists.

Detail-focused mindset and pride in producing high‑quality work.

Good time management and ability to meet production deadlines.

Team‑player attitude with clear communication skills.

Valid UK driving licence is preferred.
