Pay: £20.00 – £22.00 per hour (depending on experience)

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Stone Mason to join our client’s skilled team, working on both restoration and new stone installations in Hornchurch and the surrounding Essex / Greater London area.

Key Responsibilities

• Cutting, shaping, dressing, and finishing stone to precise specifications
• Installing stonework, including facades, cladding, decorative, and structural elements
• Repairing and restoring existing stone features
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and templates
• Working with natural stone, semi-precious stone, marble, and other materials
• Ensuring all work meets health & safety and quality standards
• Collaborating with team members and other trades to deliver projects on time and to specification

Requirements

• Proven experience as a stonemason or similar trade background
• Strong knowledge of traditional and modern stone masonry techniques
• Competence in using a range of masonry tools and equipment
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Valid UK driving licence preferred
