Engineer – Tubing, Small Bore & Hydraulics - Contract

My client is a world-class superyacht refit and build specialist, delivering complex engineering solutions to some of the most prestigious yachts globally. Due to continued project demand they are looking to recruit an experienced Engineer with a strong background in tube bending, small bore stainless steel systems and hydraulics.

This role is hands-on and suited to a marine engineer who takes pride in precision workmanship, system integrity and high-end finishing standards expected within the superyacht sector.


The Role

As an Engineer, you will be responsible for the manufacture, installation and maintenance of complex pipework and hydraulic systems across a range of superyacht refit and new-build projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manufacture and install small bore stainless steel pipework to a high cosmetic and technical standard

  • Tube bending (manual and CNC where applicable) for hydraulic, fuel, lubrication and auxiliary systems

  • Installation, testing and commissioning of hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, actuators and control components

  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, isometrics and schematics

  • Carrying out pressure testing, flushing and fault-finding of installed systems

  • Supporting refit, repair and modification works on board superyachts

  • Working closely with other engineering disciplines to deliver projects to schedule

  • Maintaining strict adherence to health, safety and quality standards


About You

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience as a marine engineer, pipefitter or hydraulic engineer

  • Strong background in tube bending and small bore stainless steel pipework

  • Hands-on experience with marine hydraulic systems

  • Ability to work accurately from drawings and technical specifications

  • High attention to detail and pride in workmanship

  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and onboard vessels

Desirable

  • Superyacht or luxury yacht refit experience

  • Experience working within a shipyard or dockyard environment

  • Knowledge of hydraulic flushing, pressure testing and commissioning
