The role is to work in the volume projects part of an 11m business based in Hertfordshire

The right candidate will need to come from a kitchen background, have a good understanding of suppliers, know how to deliver on budget and have a good degree of familiarity with the supply chain in the industry

They know the volume kitchen world inside and out

supplier knowledge 

The business is split in 2 half being high end residential and the other half being volume. This is a real opportunity to take a role that will grow into a substantial part of the business. The incumbent person leaves in 10 weeks and so ideally they would like some crossover. there is an employee who is less confident in the design/estimating role who needs a leader with them.

Regarding reporting line it is crucial that this candidate can operate in this role stand alone. Ben's managers currently submit a weekly report and as log as they are problem resolvers and own their own mistakes they are left alone to perform. He is there to support but this role is for a capable person with this background. His perfect is someone from his competitors.

An example he used was if this person is in a meeting with a builder/client they need to be able to spot early that in order to get the project on price they need to spot that the number of units need to reduce or appliances need to be lower spec rather than risk quest losing the quote.

They don't want a "project manager"
