Fire Door Woodworking Production Manager
Location: Wimborne, Dorset BH21
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Hours: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm

The Role:
Our client, a leading manufacturer of high-quality fire doors, is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee their woodworking workshop. This is a hands-on leadership role, where you’ll manage day-to-day operations, mentor your team, and ensure that every fire door produced meets the highest standards of quality and compliance.
You will take ownership of production schedules, manage staff performance, and introduce continuous improvements to enhance efficiency. Your knowledge of ISO 9001/14001, FSC, and BM Trada regulations will ensure products are fully compliant, while your leadership will foster a motivated and skilled team.
About You:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in woodworking production, ideally with supervisory or management responsibility.
- Skilled in using modern woodworking machinery, hand tools, and production software (Monday CRM, Rapid Spec, Joinery Soft).
- Strong understanding of quality control, compliance standards, and health & safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of carpenters, joiners, machine operators, and finishers.
- Plan and manage daily production to meet schedules and targets.
- Drive process improvements, productivity, and efficiency.
- Ensure all products meet regulatory standards and quality expectations.
- Manage materials, inventory, and liaise with suppliers.
- Maintain a safe, organised, and compliant workshop environment.
