Bespoke Cabinet & Furniture Maker – Ashford, Kent
£33,000 – £36,500 per annum (depending on experience)

Our client is a well-established, high-end furniture manufacturer based in Ashford, Kent. With a 25,000 sq ft purpose-built workshop and a reputation for delivering premium bespoke pieces, they produce exceptional fitted and freestanding furniture for a discerning customer base.

They are now looking to expand their team with an experienced Cabinet Maker / Furniture Maker who is passionate about quality and craftsmanship. This is a hands-on position suited to someone with a strong background in bespoke joinery and a sharp eye for detail.

The successful applicant will be responsible for building ultra-high-end furniture to precise specifications, using a mix of traditional joinery methods and modern manufacturing techniques.

Key duties will include:

  • Interpreting technical drawings and specifications to construct bespoke furniture

  • Working with a range of materials including solid timber, veneer, and sheet goods

  • Maintaining a high standard of finishing, including surface prep and assembly

  • Collaborating with colleagues across the workshop and operational teams

  • Maintaining a tidy and safe work environment

  • Supporting innovation through new techniques and material use

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in high-end cabinet making or furniture production

  • Skilled in both hand tools and woodworking machinery

  • Confident reading and working from detailed technical drawings

  • Solid understanding of joinery techniques and fabrication

  • A keen eye for quality, accuracy, and finishing

  • Able to work both independently and as part of a wider team
