We are looking for an experienced Marine Engineer to join a growing team. If you have a strong engineering background and experience with diesel engines, we'd love to hear from you.

Previous experience working on Crew Transfer Vessels (CTVs) or workboats is highly desirable. We also welcome applications from experienced Diesel Fitters, Plant Engineers, and HGV Engineers looking to transition into the marine industry.

The Role

As a Marine Engineer, you'll be travelling to commercial vessels across the UK, with occasional work in Europe, carrying out planned maintenance, repairs and emergency breakdown support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned maintenance and servicing on commercial vessels.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and fault-finding callouts.
  • Repair and maintain marine diesel engines, including:
    • CAT
    • Volvo
    • MAN
    • MTU
    • Doosan
    • Cummins
  • Diagnose and repair 24V electrical systems and control units.
  • Service and repair transmissions and water jet propulsion systems.
  • Complete maintenance records, inspection reports and service documentation.
  • Conduct vessel inspections.
  • Carry out repairs during planned dockings while vessels are out of the water.
  • Participate in out-of-hours and weekend callouts when required.
  • Travel and stay away from home when necessary.

Requirements

  • Proven engineering experience is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines.
  • Marine engineering experience is preferred, but candidates from Plant, HGV or Diesel Fitter backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the UK and occasionally Europe.
