Cost Accountant

Manufacturing | Full-time | Monday to Friday

A well-established manufacturing business is looking for a Cost Accountant to improve the accuracy of product costing and strengthen financial insight across its operation.

You’ll work closely with Production, Procurement and Design to understand the true cost of manufacture, maintain accurate Bills of Materials and report gross margins on completed products. You’ll also identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve stock control.

What you’ll be doing

• Reviewing component costs across product lines and keeping them accurate.
• Working with Design, Procurement and Production to establish the true cost of manufacture.
• Developing and maintaining Bills of Materials to support accurate costing and Materials Resource Planning.
• Providing Procurement and Logistics with better information for planning and purchasing.
• Reconciling materials and work-in-progress inventory each quarter.
• Working with stakeholders to identify and assess stock-reduction opportunities.
• Reporting gross margin on completed products and supporting project work as needed.

• Strong analytical skills and confidence using Excel.
